302 351w

what parts are interchangeable from a 351w to a 302. i was jsut guessing that the heads, and intake were..i jsut didnt know what else..i aleady have the edelbrock intake manifold, and i just figured why not get used 351w heads out of a 69' windsor..they are probably better than the stock 302 ones.

Timing chain cover. The lower intake isn't interchangeable. Water pump?

Yes they are better. They are what everyone used before the aftermarket exploded. Not as good as aftermarket but better than stock.

i was mainly conerned about the cylinder heads from a 351w...is there a certain year on the 351w motor that stands out better than other years..i heard the 1969 351w is the best year windsor..i dont know if its true or not though.

It was a decent head WITH work, in stock form its certainly nothing to write home about, the GT40 and P is a better stock for stock head by far. If you use the 351 you will need stepped arp head bolts since the 351's use a 1/2 inch head bolt as compared to the 302's 7/16 head bolt. Unless they are nearly fresh, the seats and guides are more than likely pounded to death after 30+ years, if thats the case, dont spend any money when you can get reman 40's or P's for 300ish
