just curious
I have a 91 lx 5.0 automatic with around 140k. My current setup is a bbk non fenderwell intake, u/d pulleys, electric fan, no smog, o/r h pipe. I have no way to dyno this car and i was wondering what kind of numbers im puttin down

I would guess 200-210rwhp, and 270-290rwtq?

200rwhp max...91's only had 215 crank hp.
with 140k and the auto he's looking at 170-180 rwhp the intake doesn't do that much at this stage of the moddding, maybe adds 2-3, the pipe is good for around 7-9 and then the fan and whatnot is good for a few more. |

with the hood up while on this imaginary dyno, about 200 rwhp. with the hood closed, much less and probably a shitty idle. you need to get/make a heat shield of some sorts for that air filter. my2cents

My 90 aod with u/d pullies, long tubes, o/r H pipe, flows, and everything else stock pulled 200 RWHP and 291 RWTQ.

i'm not sure what they changed exactly, i just know they made it less powerfull to make weigh for the heavier sn95 and eventually the npi 4.6

I agree on the low hp add from the mods you have. Its all about the internals baby!!! Unless you put a turbo on it of course. Get a cam, heads and intake and let her rip!!!! I wouldnt sweat the bottom end except for new rod and main bearings. Ive seen the stock bottom ends hold 350hp+ for years (providing you dont drive everywhere on the rev limiter). As always, the biggest bang for the buck is GEARS!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck man.

i have read many times that the internals from 91-93 other then not being forged in 93, but the horsepower decrease was due to a different cam put in, in 91, however ford never accurately rated them until 93. in otherwords a 91 and a 93 should dyno the same despite the ratings ford gave.
