I don't have kooks headers, but the knuckle was very close on mine as well. I cut the upper shaft (the one that slips into the steering column) so that the knuckle could slide all the way up against the column shaft. That solved the clearance issues for me.

I don't think there is much else you can do other than grind the parts of the knuckle that interfere.

I drilled holes in the shaft, and tryed to shift the colum over. Its acutually the hex head bolts and nuts that hit, because they stick out of the knuckle. I drilled the holes in the shaft, to where the only thing sticking out is the nuts but still to much. I ordered a knucle from summit over night from flamining river that is for clearence issue it comes in today. let cha know.

you could just get rid of the hex heads and sink the set screws all the way in and use a healthy dose of loctite.

But like I said, moving the knuckle closer to the firewall by trimming the upper piece will usually take care of the problem.

Sorry bout the time it took to respond I was working on the car..

I fixed it, I had to buy the low profile knuckle from flaming river,, summit had it in stock, and I drill the holes in the shaft to recess the hex screws and leveled the the top bolt even with the hex screw using a grinder, all in all no more clearance problem. she started right up, and the police came five minutes later......
