Headed to the track

Im headed to the track tonight to see what the little LX will run. Im hoping to be in the low 14's high 13's with it.

Any last minute tips?

feathure the clutch and shift around 5200...

I was going to come out around 2500 and dump the clutch and pedal it till it hooks up and mat it,was going to shift @ 5500 but since its stock I may try the 5200 1st time..

i would launch a little lower and not dump it. If u dump the clutch ul most likley break them loose.

Heres a tip, buy a set of ET streets and launch at 4500-6000 to your heart's content.

Yea but I dont want to bog it down either,i'll just have to see how the car hooks...

I should have went and bought a set yesterday,too late today... Gotta run with what I have..

If it is "stock" and you run high 13's, then something doesnt ad up. I say you run high 14's

Well guys we got rained out,drove all the way over to memphis motorsports and it rained us out... I'll try again next week.

You can easily drop 3-5 tenths with a good launch. Doesn't matter if you car is making 100 hp or 1000hp. I've seen otherwise stock mustangs go from 14.5s to 13.9s by simply putting a set of ET streets on and launching harder.
A stock mustang is easily capable of 1.9 to 1.8 60 foot times with good tires.
