what does everyone get for miles per tank of gas

I got 3.73 and a 5 speed and can get 250 but thats near running out at the station

i think ur speedo is off......

i get 250 with 2.73's and a 5spd.

i fill up at 10 gallons every time wich is near empty and i get about 200...3:73's

the tank is 15.4 gallons. i get over 250 miles before the gas light comes on....as long as i take it easy on the throttle. i do mostly city driving.

whaaaat... i have an 84 with 3.73s totally stock and im lucky to get 150, and thats not driving spirited. wounder why im getting such poor mpg

all stock i got about 275 doing 80 on the interstate...I havent even had it full since i have had the 4:10s in there.

I get about a week on a tank. Its a 5 gallon tank. Thats in the gator. In my stock Stang I was getting 300+ on the interstate, but it was a 02. My wifes Intrepid gets 380 per tank with her driving and about 315-320 with me driving.

You would think the guys with 3.73's would have higher numbers. Considering the fact that your speedo is probably off, and that your odometer is actually logging more miles than you are actually driving.

Yep, I know that, and I probably should have looked at the years their cars are to see if they have a 7 tooth drive gear or a 8 tooth drive gear. With a seven tooth you can correct 3.73's with a 21 tooth speedo gear. With a 8 tooth drive gear and some larger than stock tires, a 23 tooth driven gear will correct 3.73's. Most people don't go higher than the 21 tooth because they don't want to keep replacing the 23 tooth when it strips the gears. So I guess I was making that assumption and could've been wrong to do.

some do, some don't. i believe they got rid of it when they changed the dash (in 91?). it has saved my neck a few times since my fuel level sender is F'd up.

I was thinking about getting 3.73s - can you be serious that you get 10 miles to the gallon? Or does someone know that they're using a corrected speedo?

I know people that have gears and they say gas mileage improves, since you can get to the higher gears faster around the city.

i didnt they know they have a gas light...i have a 92....so there probably not one. my speedo dont work(the needle is in my center console) , so i dont know how fast im goin or how many miles per tank i get....but when it was working it was around 300 on the freeway and 220 - 240 around town, depends how far my foot goes to the floor
