top end kit...
I think i've finally decided where I want to go with my car. I want to get a top end kit and a supercharger. I hope to make some where around 350-400 hp. I'm starting to save for a top end kit first but i'm not sure where to start. I was thinking about going with the ford racing kit with gt 40 heads and cobra intake etc. I was also considering the trick flow kit as well. which would be a better start for my setup? i know i'll need to replace the fuel injectors and pump as well. i hope to have the car completely finished in a few years.

im not sure how much power the Cobra kit will give, but more people preffer the Trick flow kit, the intake alone has larger ports
had a Trick flow kit on my 347, pulled 411

Trick Flow, Edelbrock, maybe some combo matched with AFR 165-185 heads...
The aluminum GT40 heads arent a bad flowing head, but as stated, the intake isnt as good as the Trick flow intake...Spend a couple hundred more and get the Trick flow or similar kit.

Where is the best place to find a top end kit, H/C/I? What brand do people suggest, or is it better to buy parts and pieces from different brands?

Trick Flow has the best heads, and the kit is pieced together with parts that were made to work together. The Trick Flow kit has gone up in the past 2 months from $2199 to $2499, so I hope it doesn't keep going up. The Trick Flow kit has been proven to supply up to 70 hp straight out of the box. Holley has a kit for the same price, but I would get the Flow's because the Holley intake has a habit of sucking oil out of the motor.
