289 to 5.0 swap

I have a 1966 mustang that had a 289 in it. I have a 91 mark VII with 5.0 HO parts car. What do I need to install the 5.0 and tranny in the 66? What sensors do I keep, and which do I do away with? or do they have an aftermarket I can get to do away with them? Thanks, David. I know my stang is the wrong year for this forum but I was told I could get the info here.

The 302 should bolt right up

considering the 289 and 302 are both the same engine

and you wont need sensors or emissions if your going carb. but that means getting collectors insurance as well

I wanted to keep the injectors, but if it means alot of heartache I can go carb. I plan on using the computer and wire harness out of lincoln, but if I would be better with an after market brain box and fire module and do away with the sensors I would.
