fuses......


hey ya'll, i just joined the site. anyway, i have a '86 Stang GT i just bought and the speedometer and gas gauge doesn't work. anyone know what # fuse the speedometer is? any help is much appreciated.

I'm pretty sure there is no fuse for te speedo, check you connection at the back , alot of time people break them while takeing them apart, also check the connection at the tranny. Gas gauge may just be a bad ground on the tank, does the gauge move at all??

Theres no fuse for the speedo because it is cable drivin most. Most likely the speedo gear is stripped out all or most of the teeth are missing. As for the gas gauge it is probly the float in the tank for the sending unit it either dosent float anymore and sank to the bottom are the sending unit it bad.

gas gauge is mostly likely a bad sending unit
