blown fuses

hello all, I am having an issue with my 91 GT blowing fuses. I was driving yesterday when my radio cut off. When I got home I noticed that the dome, trunk, glove compartment, dash lights were also not working. I tested the fuses and found two that were blown (20 amp, 15 amp). I pulled the radio to make sure all that there was no exposed wires and everthing was good. I replaced the fuses and everything work for about 10 min. I tested all the fuses again and found the same two blown. Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this to happen?

did this all start after you installed the radio, or has this radio always been
in the vechile,if its a new radio did you hard wire everything or did you buy the kit if you hard wire the radio maybe you connected a wire thats spark it,cause radio horn and dome one fuse and maybe the trunk is on same fuse reason why console light are blown cause you have a wire off of the radio to console its called ullimary light maybe you have that goin were it not supposed to my 2 cents peace good luck

ps plz dont put bigger fuses in cause that wont solve it it might burn a fusible link up

I know this sounds stupid but in my car a penny or dime or something got down in my cig. lighter & blew a fuse. I'm not sure if it is on that same circuit or not but it might be one small thing to check. Good luck

Guys now that you said something about the cig liter it reminded me that I did have the console out this weekend repairing the ashtray door. I'm going to pull the console and check the gound on the cig liter.
