fuel problem?????


i have a 88 lx with cobra upper and lower gt40p heads bbk shorties, bassani x-pipe w/no cats and dynomax 2.5in. when i get on it i smell alot of unburnt fuel what could this be?

possibly a faulty injector i would just start small. throw some injector cleaner in see what that does..did you change the injectors at all recently?

no i did not but i still have speed density could that be the cause?

I had the same problem when i put a new upper and lower on. Mine was a bad o ring on an injector. It wasn't sitting right in the intake and fuel was puddling on my lower. If thats the problem its a cheap fix.

with the s/d you have to be altering vacuum to do it, and i dont see any mods to really do that. ensure your vacuum lines are correct, then proceed to cking injector seals. i also wouldnt think your exhaust setup has altered your O2 readings either.

if you put abigger maf on it you need to ge the computer calibrated, or maybe just the sensor on the maf
