Engine flooding problem

I've got a problem with my car trying to start and maybe you guys can help...
First off, you should know that I JUST replaced my water pump, radiator hoses, and thermostat. I have been getting a check engine light code #22 (map sensor). I replaced the vacuum hose that goes to the map sensor because it was cracked. everything went smoothly with my water pump install but now my car doesn't like to start sometimes. when the car is cold, it starts right up. when i take it to the gas station and put gas in it, it won't start again. It smells REALLY strong of gasoline as well when I try to start it. I pulled my plugs out and they were covered with gasoline as well. Now I checked the resistance on my fuel injectors and they all seem to be fine. I still have a Map sensor code on as well. if I let the car sit for about an hour and a half, it will start right up. any ideas?

A failed fuel pressure regulator can be a source of excessive fuel. Check the vacuum line to the FPR and make sure gas is not being sucked into the intake through it. What ever the cause may be, check and/or change your oil when you resolve your problem, all of that unburned fuel will seep past and mix with the oil.

will gasoline in my oil cause the bearings to wash out? could that possibly cause problems with my lifters? i'm getting a weird noise coming from my cylinder heads that sorta sounds like lifters

Yes. The fuel thins out the oil. I had fuel in my oil and the oil had the consistency of water. Fuel also "cleans" the engine but the extra crap floating around may rest or lodge in undesirable places or maybe even clog your filter.
