The one you linked to even has the adapter so you do not have to remove the schrader valve. That is the type you are looking for.

38-40 is the stock pressure, there are very few reasons that anyone should change that more then a few pounds either direction, even when modded. The advantage of having a gauge you can see while driving is for monitoring fuel pressure under load. Having one in the engine compartment or attaching a temp one is great for setting the base fuel pressure but not much more. If you are on a budget, I'd wait until you are much further with your mods before getting one in the car.

I was going to use it for diagnostics. If I drive my car on the freeway for a while (around an hour) and if its real hot out when I come to a stop it dies on me and I have to let it cool down. I replaced the ignition module and it still did the same thing.
So I thought the gague would help me see if it was a fuel pump issuse or an ignition problem. Do you know how much psi it should push when you turn the key but w/o starting the engine?

It should jump up to or very close to normal after the initial key-on cycle of the pump, at least mine does. I'd wait for a second opinion from someone else on that though.

Normally, it should be 38-40 when you hit the switch even without starting the car.
