---Have 5 grand want 400hp---

I want to get my 94 gt up to 400hp and ive got 5 grand to work with. Im thinking about a Vortech supercharger, then that leaves me with 2 grand, so what else should i do for power mods?

Turbos are very expensive,I would do heads, cam, intake and all the other little stuff and put a 100 shot on it.

I agree. $5000 would get a nice turbo kit and still have money left over to buy a set of nice used aluminum heads.

See with a turbo, you adjust the boost (PSI) Per sqaure inch

You can adjust the PSI on a turbo giving more or less HP just by turning the boost controller, where as a supercharger is limited and uses HP to make HP

Read my write up in the general tech section, under power adders, the sticky at the top, Lets talk boost, read as much as you can

you can pick up a nice HP performance turbo kit for $4500 and is good to 500hp, Stage 1 kit which is all you need

Turbos produce more horsepower than any other power adder. They are more efficient than a supercharger and less stressful to the engine.

www.quicktimeturbosystems.com

$2900 for a 70mm single turbo kit, plus shipping, and you still have money left over! This kit can produce enough power to split your block if you unleash it!

i thought NOS was the cheapest poweradder, but a turbo will give you the HP u'll be looking for. + u get that cool blow-off sound and run it open wastegate

You cannot go wrong with a Turbo kit. They are easier today than they were 15-20 years ago. They are out of the box bolt on rather than the costly fabrication that had to be done to make them fit properly. I have read an article in MMFF recently stating that they have now fitted a turbo waste gate to a super charge application. It allows the driver more control over the boost levels which evens the playing field a little more between the 2 power adders. A properly tuned turbo setup will give more bang for your buck.

dude

stay with natural aspiration

Cam, intake, new heads, bore and stroke it, new lifters and rockers.

you can get 400 hp without going the forced induction route
