starter


when i start my car you can def hear the starter grinding..we can push start it but ill def need to replace it..i heard something about turning the belt counterclockwise would reset the starter and it wouldnt be stuck open anymore. idk just a question to see if its true or not.

i dont know what ur talking about turning the belt around but if ur starter is grinding then u should take it out and get it checked

i think what your trying to do is turn the belt to turn the flywheel so you can possibly get the teeth lined up with the starter if some on there are bad

and if its stuck open you may be looking at a cylinoid problem

or you can just use Fords fix it all hammer.

a small tap on the starter might work ... but yea.. your going to want to replace it anyway

its not a solenoid problem..i might use the ford hammer and then get a new one...but yeah sniperrider had a good sense of what i was talking about.

my stock starter didnt hold up to well to the long tube headers so i now have a powermaster mini starter....great investment and no heating issues yet, now if i can find whats draining the battery
