Got Her Running, But wont stay running...help?

hey guys..installed the cam and other valvetrain stuff..and after bout 2 days of messing with the timing, it turns out that i just had the firing order ontop of the distributor wrong...well i finally go it started this morning, and she revs real high to start and then wont idle, just dies out..im not so great w/ this EFI stuff so i may have missed something..i do know one thing is that i dont have a vaccum line going to the fuel pressure regulator..just cant fined the missing line or what going to that..i also have 2 vaccum lines that going under the backside of the upper intake? dont know if those lines are to the right spot..(should have marked them at tear down) and also on the front underside of the upper intake is 2 spots for more vaccum lines..i dont have any extras laying around..please tell me what im missing and what goes where...thanks alot to ALL responses...

It sounds like you have a HUGE vac leak which is causing issues with your fuel metering. Stop at a store, like autozone or advance autoparts and buy a couple vaccum tree plugs. Cover up any unused vac ports, and if you have to, insert a T into one of your vac lines, then run it to your FPR

you shouldnt have any vac lines attached to the BAP sensor (what your calling a map sensor)

and none of those ports should be open.. at all.. plug them

well im going with a website that had diagrams of the vaccum lines location..said something bout a MAP..well im gunna just go by all new vaccum lines..that way i'll have all im missing and with be label w/ were from and were to..best bet..or just plug all open stuff and connect FPR to Upper intake vaccum port..

you dont need to follow a stock diagram... just plug up all the ports, and run a vac line from the intake to the FPR

i know a few cars that i have messed with, if you adjust the screw on the bottom of your throttle body, you can make it idle higher...probably not the answer you are looking for but with a cam it might be the only solution...not to discredit the vacuum issue either, because that can cause a problem as well

i know how to adjust that idle..but i have a vaccum leak and have no fuel pressure..so it just stalls..its starts right up and stalls immediatly..unless i peddle it..but it revs to like 6000rpm's when i start it...and when i give it a slight amount of gas to stay running it revs right up to 6k...

yeah, definately don't run a vacuum line to the MAP. that really screwed up my air fuel mixture when mine was connected

to be honest i dont know what or where that it...it was just on this diagram...it told me to run a vaccum from 1 intake vaccum to MAP and 1 to the FPR..so basically i just need to block all vaccum ports and get a T and connect manifold vac port to FPR???
