Estimated Horse Power Numbers?
Ok. Debating on a carb swap for my car. '87 5.0 factory forged flattops and new Moly rings, all new rods and mains and new cam bearings. all stock w/ LTs. what if i go with some slightly worked over gt40 irons, TFS st. 2 cam, edelbrock performer intake, and 600 Holley with LTs. 5 speed car. Where about would the RWHP be with that setup.

With fresh GT40P heads and EFI it will make around 260 at the wheels. Carbureted would probably make the same ballpark horsepower but at a loss of torque. I have to ask, why do you want to run a carb?

im actually thinking of selling my carbed 302 to go fuel injected..having a carb for the first time was def. a great learning experience though..for me it was a lot easier to work on a diagnos, plus i didnt like the fact of all the sensors and what not..but im pretty sure both have its advantages.
