Engine RPM steady between shifts

You know how the 5.0 engine slows down between shifts? Like using the enging to break? Well, at times when I press the cluch the engine either maintains its speed or the rpms come down very slow.

Any ideas?

i think this is normal as mine does it too.

no thats not normal, its suppose to drop down between shifts but not real slow,, i had that problem a couple of times but it stopped so i guess the car fixed its self,

well i have no clue then. my rpms dont drop too much when i shift. and it stays at about 1200 untill i come to a complete stop.

Quit trying to powershift. You'll burn up gears that way.
