It's on the lower intake... driver side, near the front.

Yeah, number five lower intake runner. It's the thing between the two lower injectors on the right hand side of the picture. Follow a 1 o'clock from the distributor.

Grey, black, whatever. Yes, behind the first injector on the driver's side. Ford numbers their cylinder 1 to 4 starting with the front most passenger side and going to the back, then 5 to 8 starting with the front most passenger side and going to the back. So right behind the number 5 injector.

It should be plugged into the same harness that connects all the injectors.

It's cool. I've got pictures of everything from the pistons up, so ask if you run in to more trouble.

ok im back got a debate question. i found a site that says to fool the iat with a resistor to make the computer seem like the air charge is cooler/denser? it is saying to use a 100k ohm resistor, a friend had a 10k resistor and i tried it, and seems to me to be working, feels better revs quicker and is alot quicker during take offs. now first debate is would you even do this? why yes or no, second if you would, would you use the 100k ohm resistor. like the site says or stay with the 10k. yes i know this is cheesy but im looking for as much low buck but safe and worthwhile as i can get, untill i can afford the supercharger, lol. thanks for any and all imput. take care.

I have heard this argument before. I think its really tough to say. The IAT is there so that on hot days when the intake air is super hott the computer can pull timing to prevent detonation. Now if you go running your car on super hott days with a reisistor in there to trick to computer into thinking your air charge is 50 degrees cooler than it is you could possibly cause detonation. I am also sure the fuel tables are a bit different based on what your IAT temperature is so that could affect things as well. I would not personally do this because the amount your going to gain is so negligible its not even close to the risk for me. You might be different however. Anytime you start altering the car from its factory form there can always been drawbacks to it. Even if 1000 people post on here and say its fine and they have never had an issue you could be that one guy that has major issues and it costs you a motor somehow. You just never know for sure.

well i tried it before i read this i gained 18hp at 3800 rpms, the tires will light up in hearbeat, runs faster sounds better and the seat of the pants feel is niceeeeeeeeeeee. i have the 10k ohm in there but im gonna try the 100k ohm resistor and see if is any difference. the one thing that i did see which could be an issue because i use 93 octane with a booster is i actually saw a drop on my gas needle where as before i was getting insane gas milage, maybe not everyones good gas milage because i am new to mustangs and used to big block chevys getting a good 3-5 mpg so anyyyyything is better but the mustang is muccch better even with all the mods. ill update this on the good or bad with the 100k. thanks for the info though. take care.
