1/4 window moulding?

My 1/4 window mouldings are weather checked real bad and look like crap. I've spent the last month stripping my 87 down and getting it ready for paint and I don't want to put them back in looking like they do now. Has anyone tried the 1/4 window moulding covers, and how do they look? Am I better off just getting some new windows?

you can sand these down with severle grits until you get to 1000 grit and re paint there is a company that refinishes them for like $70

For 70 bucks that would be well worth it to me. Do you have any contact info?

I bought the covers for mine when i had it painted & I didn't like them. they didn't fit well or look right in my opinion. I just scuffed up the rubber and found some spray on black rubber stuff at lowes & sprayed like 10 coats on them. it seem to be sticking well so far and i think it looks more like the original rubber than the smooth plastic. just a thought. good luck

Thanks for the idea, it my be the only other thing I can do. I was looking at 50resto and they don't have the new windows anymore, and I can't find anyone else that can even get new one's.
