Driving lessons
Having troubles getting a good launch. My rear tires are 245/50-16 BFG g force sports. AOD trans w/ wide ratio gears and shift kit. Engine is mostly stock. Any suggestions would help.
1/4 mile was 15.4@93. 0-60 tells the tale 6.8 sec. |

yeha, you should have a better 1/4 mile and 0-60 time, if your tires are old, or are wearing on you get some new ones.

You need a stall...Plain and simple...3000 or higher...It will be a completely different animal.
And alot more mods...I went 15.2 all stock everything.

I do have a higher stall TQ 2600 (i know its not 3000). tires are almost new. it was 0-60. my 60' would have sucked too!
this fall i'm adding a bunch more mods: explorer intake, gt40p heads, p headers, bbk 65mm TB, 1.6 roller rockers etc. and now with these 1/4 mile times i need stickers and cobra badges too add the extra hp!!!!! |

Dude, skip all those dinky mods and put a 100 shot wet kit on there. It'll get you into the 13s for sure, maybe 12s with some work.
