Is this a bad deal?

I am looking into getting this 93 Notchback, it is a 5 Speed, and this is what it has that i know of, im going to talk to the guy tomrrow....a 308, Cobra upper and lower, Flowmaster, Headers, Short Shifter, thats what I know of right now, the paint is not that great but a cheap paint job will do for now...so i will test drive it tomorrow and ill find out what else it has tomomorw if anything...Below is the picture, they are asking $5,995, but if I could get it for $5,000 would it be an alright deal or what? And with the above listed how much power do you think it has and any 1/4 Mile estimates?....TY guys

I think its a little much, but I havent seen all the pics of it.I would offer him 4000-4500.But only if its in absolutely great shape with 70,000 miles would i offer him 6000.

Have you checked carfax.com to see if the car was in accident? You can call your insurance company to see if the title is good and not a salvage title. If there was an accident and they paid for the damages out of pocket it would not show on the check. What are the miles on the car and what miles have been added since the motor was done? Check all that out and start off offering $4k and go from there.

tell the dealer the bank will only give you the loan for bluebook value and you don't have that much cash. Then look if the car has cats on it, if it doesn't, point out to him theres a stiff penalty for selling a car with tampered emission systems, look him in the eye ,shake your head, and ask,"Now how much do you want for it?"

its nice looking, but miles? cats? rust or rot? i paid only $2400 for mine w/ 54K miles and to see something like that, that probably has over 100k, i'd say $3500 MAX..but like we said, if it has none of the bad stuff...$4500 MAX..
