Hotter at Speed
My 5.0 runs hotter when driving on the fwy at speed than cruising around town. Is that a sign the fan clutch is going out? Thanks.

No. The fan is only needed at low speed and while stopped. I don't know the break even point but at highways speeds, natural air flow through the radiator is far more air then the fan can pull through. Maybe your water pump is bad, you have air in your cooling system, or your thermostat is clogged or jacked.
