Roller Rocker help


so i finally put on my crane race roller rockers, and my engine ticks alot i made sure that their not hitting the valve covers, and i just changed the oil.........any ideas of what the click is...?

They will have their own sound, it's kinda hard to tell if you have a problem from here. Hold your computer closer to the car and repeat the question.

do you have aluminum valve covers?? cuz i think stock were aluminum and with any mods to valvetrain coses them to expand and contract making a little knocking noise..but its nbd..

yea it has the same power as it should but is hella loud when i get on it.....its just the ticking concerns me, i guess from here i run it till it blows and start building a new one........ahhh, fuck me

oo...its a loud knocking especially when you get on it??? it sounds like a bent pushrod to me..

yep i still have the stock ones.....i had to remove the oil plate where you dump the oil in cause it rubbed on the rockers.....hope its just in my head

it could be i should of checked those while i was down there it kinda sucks taking the intake off to het to the pushrods tho, ive done it twice this week

well let us know what you find out..hopefully its as easy as a bent pushrod, hopefully no broken or bent valves...

will do how much damage will it cause to just run it like it is saying a pushrod is bent?

well possibly pushrod throws the lifter down into cam, cam brakes falls into crank and destroys engine..but not that much..thats the serious stuff..but you will break the bent pushrod eventually, you could take the spark plug out of that cylinder and just run 7...but you could also screw up lifters or cam too..wouldnt advise running it like that..just take spark plug of that cylinder, will solve it for little bit, but isnt great to run it like that..

well i wasnt done, i was gunna tell him to drop his transmission and leave the shifter in the center console, so he can feal like he's shiftin & driving while he gets a friend w/ a big truck to tow him everywhere..
