lets ee if you guys have the answer im looking for

i was going to turbo my 2000 v6. it has an air intake new brake pads upgraded clutch parts short throw shifter and i choped the y pipe and put on a h adapter with a mac cat back exhaust. my buddy who owns city auto repair (for those of you living in bakersfield area) heard what i was gonna do. and freaked out. he told me that i will definetly blow up my engine even with a really low psi setting. he wants me to straight trade him my car for a 95 gt 5.0. damn near bone stock. he wanted me to take my my stuff and design my turbo for that. most of the sixers tell me to keep my car and turbo that one. but i wanted to see what all of you think. i understand i have to build the engine to handle the power but which one would be more worth it? some say the 6 will be stronger than the old 5.0. but then some say i will be more powerful with the 5.0. thanks for any help.

You will spend money out the a$$ to turbo the sixer,5.0 stuff is relatively cheap and theres alot of it.I say go for the 95 if its in good shape.

that's what they say about 2.3s and you can have over 300hp with $500 and some kno-how

he wants some reasons to do it, not jus how much it would cost

like having more power..

I know that but I was just sayin that it would be expensive! And 2.3 blocks dont like it when they get past the 300 mark.A 2.3 IS NOT A 3.8 EITHER.

nah its cool man

you can easily get a lot more parts for a 5.0

hell, you can stroke it to a 347 and turbo it and make all kinds of power that you couldn't dream of with a V6

that's a good idea

you can get a 302 or a 351 anywhere in a junkyard too

which is also a good idea.. y not jus go 351? lol

junkyard 351 w/ a junk yard turbo is power!

if you ever need some help on junkyard turbos jus ask lol
