How to Change to Appearence of 16" Rims to Look 17"

hey..i got a set of 17X8 and 17X9 rims in a trade for my mach 1 hood a couple days ago..but i have a friend that has a set of draglites (15X3, 15X8), but there in california and he isnt coming back from there for another 3weeks..but i agree'd to trade him my cobra r's for his draglites now, if he gives me his 16X7 chrome cobra r's he has laying around to use for right now..see he took his stang to ohio, with my cobra's, to then take plane to cali..(has house in ohio)..well long story short..these 16" look like 12" compared to my old 17"s...well these ones has 205/45/16 tires on them..would a set of bigger tires make the rims look bigger..

im thinking

front: nitto extreme drag radials 225/50/16
rear: nitto extreme drag radials 275/50/16

would these do the trick..

i know, im kinda that way..but small cobra rs look weird..i have to use these ones until he gets back from cali. in 3wks..then i got my 15X3 and 15X8 draglites..cant wait..but will bigger tires make the 16" look bigger..

yes just make the sidewall hieth taller it might not make it look bigger but it will fill out the wheelwell more giving it a better look

anything 19" and bigger is HUGE on a stang..

like 89LX347's draglites

..what are those 17's or 18's..you still have those.i thought you were selling them..

imo bigger tires dont make the rim look any bigger. i think it makes the rim look smaller

ya they are 18s in the back 17s in the front ya i traded them for some centerline convo pros with slicks and skinnys

+1 I've always felt a taller sidewall makes the rim look even smaller.
