hard shift

i have the WC t-5 in my 91 convertable and it seems to be shifting realy hard it started like a week ago jacked it up at my friends house checked the tranny fluid filled it with the suggested (a t f ) it went away now it started doing it again it wont go into rever and its realy hard getting in and out of gear i checked the fluid its full some one suggested it could just be a clutch and since its the stock i dont know how to adjust it or could it just be a bad clutch and suggestions on a good performance clutch that is still suitable for street

FYI shift stops are located on the base of the shifter front and back and all it is is 2 screws that only allow the shifter to go so far......the way i set them is put the shifter in 3rd gear and set the screw so its just touching the shifter and then tighten then move the shifter to 4th and do the same....

Does a stock shifter have shift stops? I don't know, I've never driven a mustang that still had the stock shifter.

If I had to guess, I'd say it sounds like the clutch is not disengaging completely. To test, put the car in neutral with the engine idling. Let the clutch out. Push the clutch in and wait 5 to 10 seconds and try to put the car in reverse. If it grinds going into reverse, your clutch is not disengaging. If it is smooth going into reverse, the problem isn't your clutch, which means it is your transmission.

reverse isnt synchronized. so check your clutch adjustment, this is acutally a common thing with t5 and t45s
