5.0 Engine questions

What up people I own a 1993 Mustang GT. I just put in a pair of 275 50 15 M/T tires and takes off awesome. I plan on preping the car for a pair of AFR 185 heads. my questioin is what would I need to get before i can get these heads on? will the stock rotating assembly will be able to handle the heads. suggestions on parts/combos would also be great

But it wont handle the valves,it has a 2.02 valve and stock pistons will only hold a 1.94

but your better off with trick flow twisted wedge heads..they allow you to run 2.02" valves on stock pistons with now work..unless you already have the AFR's..those are still great heads anyways..

HAH i plan on making a Street/Stip monster. I am not worried about emissions nor gas mileage. I got about 300 saved up right now BUT i will be getting a bonus of about 2gs by December, and i am going to start to save up.

$ helps..but you gotta know where too look when $'s tight..swap parts is a good way..im pushing bout 260-270rwhp and i've spent only 2k on my car..thats mostly on visual stuff..you can do it with little to no cash..you just gotta be patient..but dont go cheap with important parts..

the 347ci idea is great idea..but not practical on a $300 budget jpjp..
