quick question about notchback suspension!

i hear that the 4cyl suspension is good for the notch back because it converts all the weight too the rear end for more traction? ive never heard of this but i know a guy with an 8sec notch in the 1/4 mile running 4cyl suspension. is that even possible ? i think hes full of it but i dunno

all the rear springs (excpt convertables), are the same. You might be thinking of the front springs?

Putting 4 cylinder springs in the rear will hurt more than it will help. In a stock suspension Mustang a stiffer spring puts more force on the tire. Some will argue this fact but I can assure you they have little to no experience in this area.

Anyone that wants to learn a thing or two about Mustang suspensions should read this link http://www.baselinesuspensions.com/i...A_Drag_Car.htm specifically the section on rear springs which relates to this topic. Kevin's entire site is filled with useful information. I suggest that everyone read it.
