question about intake fitting....

ok, im in the process of putting my new engine in my 1990 LX. It has been several years since I had one of these cars and I cant remember what a certain fitting does in the lower intake.

If you are facing the engine from the front of the car, on the left rear corner of the lower intake there is a brass fitting with a post on it. Is this for the factory water temp guage?

Thats all I can figure.

that usually has a nipple with a small coolant hose that goes to your egr spacer.

its a holley systemax, but this fitting is the same on the factory intake from what I remember.

Its not a coolant hose for sure. it has an electrical post on it.

im not technically savy enough to post a pic. I can take one and email it to someone so they can post it if possible?
