My cars been apart so long i forgot are our water temp guages electrical b/c i am about to buy some autometer guages

Thats what i thought but i wasnt sure.what auto meter guages do you think look the best in our cars.I was thinkin about the carbon fibre ultra lites or the phantoms

I'd say buy some that match your interior or your taste. I like silver face gauges for grey interiors...

i have grey & black int...and have 2 autometer pro-comp (silver) gauges on a-pillar, 5" pro-comp (silver) monster tach w/ shift light and 1 pro-comp fuel pressure guage (silver) next to tach..i think it looks awesome...i may throw the fuel pressure one out onto cowl..and or all into A/C slot

I like the the Ultralite II series because they are simple, easy to see, uses solid clear numbers and they are lit through dial from behind and not over colored or too bright.
I like the Pro-comp/Sport-comp as well and they are all about the same price. To each his own.

whats the difference btw these two guages?I know one of them is full sweep and the other is not but why is there a 120 dollar price difference

The full sweep is a stepper motor gauge, the 90 sweep is an air-core movement. The stepper motor type means the sending unit is more advanced and tells the meter exactly where to point the needle, the air core is kind of like a simple volt meter, the higher the signal from the sending unit, the more the gauge moves above zero. In theory, the stepper motor type is more accurate and consistent and should maintain a higher accuracy in different operating conditions (like hot and cold). Is it worth the difference in price? That is up to you

I want one thats very precise unlike the stock guages,so i think its worth it
