I just hit 500 miles on my Zoom Stage 3 clutch with Steeda adustable cable, firewall adjuster, and quadrant. Everything is working great so far. I don't recommend the low-buck ford racing clutch, it was a pile of shit that only lasted a couple hundred miles

My dad has The Fidanza clutch kit on his 92 5.0. We both are very happy with the clutch and it's durability... He just passed 140,000 miles with this clutch and it still feels the way it did when we installed it... American muscle sells it for a good price... plus you get free shipping. That's the link in the beginning of the post... Hope that helps

Centerforce Dual Friction. Grabs like a Mother & still retains stock pedal feel..

I would agree with the dual friction. Or go to promotion and get a dual friction disk and a decent pressure plate without the explodomatic weights and weak diaphram.

Don't overclutch your car. The higher the "stage", the more pedal effort you're talking about and the harsher the engagement is.

What I'd suggest is a Macleod Stage 1. That will get you better holding capacity, but still have stock-like engagement, and a 10% *easier* pedal.

Of course, if you constantly slip the clutch, it doesn't matter what you put in there, you're gonna burn it up. If you can smell clutch, you're slipping it too much.
