I SMELL MY CLUTCH????


alrite most of the time wen im reg driving i never smell anything but wen i hot rod it not like peeling or takin off fast just wen im in gear flooring it and regulary shifting i smell wat im assuming is my clutch smells very different and strong. N E help ???

is it a new clutch if soo what kind?...and have you replaced the rear main seal lately?

no i believe it was changed to oem by original owner at like 50000 miles now its to 90 rear main seal on tranny?

im guessing it hasnt been replaced if you dont know what it is...lol, but its around the crank in the back of the motor, right before your clutch.. it could be leaking all over your h-pipe and clutch causing your smell, is there any oil spots when you park it for a while?

well theres your smell then, mine did the same thing..you gotta drop the tranny to get to the seal but its easy to replace once you get too it, i'd replace the clutch while your down there. and tht should stop the smell

yea im 17 and in my high schools auto tech my teachers had a thousand mustangs and said hell help

cool i'm 17 also, ya i did mine myself, the seal is like 4 dollars and thts it if you dont replace the clutch at the same time

thanks man appreciate it and i was figuring a racing clutch wouldnt be more than 200 or 300 bucks??? how those 4 10s work in ur car im lookin to throw a set in

ya clutches arent too bad...350 maybe if you want good parts,...and the 4:10s are awesome huge improvement over stock..i noticed you have aim if you have more questions you could im me SN (mlx50man)
