Missing a plug

Hi i just put a set of gt40-p head that have been ported and the explorer upper and lower on my car. The explorer lower seems like it does not have one of the plugs that the stock intake has. I have the temp and the plug that goes onto the heater core lines on both intakes but the one near the temp is not on the explorer. Will the car been fine if i do not have that pluged in.

no it won't run right. If you relocate it to somewhere else in the intake track it will work, but the readings will be too cold and the ecu will give more advance. The proper way is to drill and tap the runner for the sensor.

yea it's just the scalers in the programming will be off a little, actually if you test the voltage range with the atc in the intake tube, and it is close to the values in the ecu it should be fine. Also that is one small part of the input the ecu uses to run your engine. I guess the botom line is it should work in the intake tube, but it will work if you drill and tap it in the runner.
