does anyone know a rough estimate of the hp increase when you port and polish stock heads.

it really depends on a lot man.
meaning the type of port and polish. you might want to ask acmiller or boomer about it. they know quite a bit. |

It really depends on what kind of porting job you are talking about and what else you plan to change on your set up. You need to know exactly what you are going for before you get started though. That is the main killer of HP- People start just throwing known products together on top of a port job and sometimes those parts and pieces don't compliment each other. It would be nearly iimpossible to tell you a figure without knowing a few things first.
1. What are the spec.s on the cam you will be using? 2. What is your compression ratio. 3. What type/size of carb are you using. 4. Will you be using the stock valve train? 5. What kind of intake are you using? Even with all that info., the answer to your question would still be a guess. |
