Quick Body/ Paint / Rust questions

yeah...well today i found out that the paint shop that my car was gunna get painted finally at...there one and only good painter just got in a serious car accident, and im not letting some of those de de dee's over there touch my car...well i got my down payment back..and i've decided that moneys going to TFS TW heads soon..not yet though..well i dont like seeing the car in 4 dif colors...well i kinda like the look of primer on a 5.0

well living in New England..how will the weather effect the car..will the lack of paint, make it rust quicker? in primer..until this spring when it will get painted..cuz there's a friend of mine w/ an 83 GT 5.0 turned 91 LX that was 10 dif colors, then he primered it and he's had it primer since feb..but thats not over the cold NE winter..

I would use dupli color self etching primer it burns into the metal so it wont rust,it reall works thats what ive been using on my engine compartment. Then i would put some grey primer sealer on it.
