Cai for Speed Density


Would it make a difference and if so how much because Im looking to add a little more power for under $400 or should I go with the march ram air kit

Thats what I have been hearing speed density dosent react to mods like that well Im planning on doing a 331 build do ill just wait until that I guess.

Yes it will pay off in the end to wait until you build the 331. I did, but I am still waiting on my mass air conversion. The pic here is of my new 331 from d n' d motorsports. What does everyone think?

Speed density has nothing to do with it. A cold air intake adds only a small amount of horsepower which is not noticable by itself but does add up when combined with other modifications. The Anderson power pipe is probably the best piece on the market and you will probably only see about 7hp out of it. You would be better off with headers and exhaust or a set of gears.

I already have headers and off road h-pipe and 3.73 gears

i would just save my 400 thats a good start on a set of heads

yeah agree'd...but -1 on the idea of GT40X heads...if you're gunna save up money for heads...TFS, edelbrock, holley, AFR somthing nice...not that ford racing stuff isnt...but theres way better

Darrell is right, I had AFR heads on my 91' gt and they were way better performance wise compared to my friends who put the gt40's on theirs. I guess it just depends on your set up though....
