buying a new stang...think its worth it? details inside


ok so im looking to purchase a mustang again. I found one locally...heres the specs and the price..tell me what you think..ill be as detailed as possible, im going to look at it tomorrow but need advice..heres the specs:

88 red notchback 5.0
bored .30 over now a 306
has mac shorty headers mac h pipe and flowmaster dual chamber mufflers
world class t5
some sort of racing seats not sure the brand
105k on the clock.
no heat or a/c needs heater core replaced
edelbrock heads
crane cam (dont know which one)
mac cold air intake
weld draglite rims with regular bfgoodrich tires, not drag radials
3.73 gears
small cowl pin on hood maybe 2 inch
minor paint fade on hood
stock upper and lower intake
its speed density no maf
thats all i know of...asking 4800 neg

im hoping to get for 4...tell me what to look out for and what to ask please thank you!

I would be careful in buying a car that someone has modded out with out seeing reciepts and warranty and stuff like that for the parts because you never know if they did the work right.

drive it for awile and have it checked out by a knowledgeable performance oriented technician

well doesnt quite feel like it has a 306, nor does it idle rough like it has a cam...i guess it depends on the cam he put in? he said it had edelbrock heads...how can i know if any of this stuff is true? im guessing rip apart the motor but i dont wanna do that. Maybe race someone who has the same setup or close? or even stock to see how far i take off on em? :-( regardless car runs reallly good and is a notch, very clean, ill have pics by tomorrow night!...ps im selling my 86 gt in case anyone wants a bone stock caar! pm me for specs/price/pics! (yes i know start a new thread, im going to sleep) lol

are the heads aluminum(its so easy to tell the diff btw alum and cast iron)if so they are edelbrock heads

cowl looks alot bigger than 2 inch.. looks to be closer to 3.5 or 4 inch even..

congrats on the buy.. i just picked up my all stock (except flowmasters) 92 LX 5.0 Hatch with 93k miles for $3500
