Injectors

hey quick question
i just installed my nitrous
and lookin 2 upgrade my fuel supply
im plannin on gettin a 255lph fuel pump
and 24lb injectors
i went to the junk yard the other day
and i wasnt sure how 2 make sure if they are 24s
not sure how 2 read them
i remember that i pulled a set off of a thunderbird lx i think
and then a newer version lincoln towncar with the v8
the lincoln looks like they are thicker/larger than the thunderbird ones
they are both yellow in color
different from my stock 19lb
so if anyone knos how 2 read them so i can find out of they are 24s let me kno
thanks alot

fuel injectors are color coded.

stick with mustang specific though as some of the other Fords might use the same color but it can be a different flow rate

Darrell (or anyone) is that pic supposed to be what you look for in a salvage yard? Because it didn't actually have the blue tops.

These are also 24#ers:

A package I got in the mail.

I *know* blue tops are 24s, but I guess that's an FRPP color? I didn't know non-blue top 24s existed til I saw that pic from Darrell.

hence my first post
and I believe that is off of a 2001 Cobra.

they stepped up to 39's for the terminators.
which are dark blue.

Yeah, I should have mentioned there are two shades of blue for Ford injectors, though I doubt we'll ever just stumble across 39s in a junkyard. 24s are baby blue, the ones in the pick aren't faded, that's the way they are.

These are also 24#ers:

The ones in the picture are all of the factory Ford injectors. The ones in your hands are the Ford Racing 24lb injectors. They look different but do the same thing.

Yeah, well, the last time I posted a pic (Clubhouse) 96DumbassTop said I looked feminine, so I'm trying to dispel the rumors.

Just be lucky the topic creator didn't need a picture of a crank.
