rough idle, bog @ 3500 RPM

Newbie here, new to the site and mustangs both, but no stranger to wrenching on stuff. Just picked up an 86 GT about a month ago. Car ran great for a few weeks and now all of a sudden one day driving down the road it died.
A little history on the car I got from the previous owner

recently installed 95 5.0 with 38k miles on it
mass air conversion with computer and mass air meter from an 89gt
BBK headers
march ram air
bbk h-pipe
3.73 gears
fuel pressure is @ a steady 40-45 psi through the RPM range
Has a new TPS, new distributor with new module and pickup
timing set @ 10 degrees
Has adaptive performance EGR eliminator and EGR block off plate

Anyways, after it died I pulled over to the side of the road and it would restart but you have to feather the gas to keep it going at first. After I got it going it seemed to run ok other than once I would get above around 3500 RPM it would start cutting out. Got it at work now and it will start and run but the idle surges alot and it idles rough. push the gas all the way to the floor and the car cuts out around 3500-4000 rpm let of the gas a little bit and it will rev on up. It is running very very rich
I pulled the codes, don't have them writen down right now, wiil update later, but from what I do remeber
these are KOEO
KOER came up with no codes

22-Map/bp sensor out of self test range
How does this play in now that the car is mass air converted? The map sensor is plugged in but no vacuum line hooked up?
This was a code that was stored in the memory also

Everthing else was just from the koeo test, from what i remember
There was one for secondary air injection
something about the fuel pump circuit in the ecm
Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch circuit open

I will re-run the codes tommorow and update on exactly what the were

Do you remember what happened when it died? How were you driving, did it die during a shift, did it crank right back up, etc?

Sounds like you need to find someone who knows what they're doing about these codes.

have you checked your timing? It sounds like your timing is stuck in a no advance mode. Check to make sure the little pin on the yellow wire off the distributor is making a good connection.

Other than that, check your fuel pressure, you might have a pump going bad which would go along with the open circuit EEC code.

did you read my first post? apparently not
also found out the open circuit EEC code has to do with the Maf conversion and it is nothing to worry about

yeah, you said you timing is set at 10 degrees, but you didn't say whether the advance was working correctly!! If you set the base timing at 10 and plug the pin back in it should jump up to about 20 degrees advance.
