rear end question....

my car is close to being done. All I have left to build is the rear end. This car should be putting down over 600 RWHP once tuned so I need to built a rear end that will take some abuse.

Has anyone ever used one of these??

It sounds like exactly what I am looking for. the strength of a spool at the track and the convenience of a limited slip on the street.

i would not use one of those b/c it would be a pain to install and you will probably have problems with it down the road.

a 347 stroker built around a BOSS 302 block and a D1 procharger putting out 16 lbs of boost.

absolutely nothing but the best was used in building this motor.
I am guaging horsepower by what the last engine put down (it was a 331 that had to be shifted at 5k rpm because of injector issues and a 2 bolt block and it put down around 550 rwhp with the same blower)

I will have pics this week. I cant post them due to being technically challenged. I will gladly email them to someone who can post them for me.

boss 302 block
all forged internals
victor jr aluminum heads
holley systemax intake
60 lb injectors
comp magnum rockers
comp cam 236/248 579/579 ...114 LSA
pro mass air systems MAF
BBK long tubes
dynamax cat back
BBK H pipe with cats (last exhaust was off road and annoyed the hell out of me.....i dont mind giving up a few horses for street manners)
centerforce dual friction cluth
Tremek TKO tranny (may do an automatic C4 conversion early next year....im just out of money right now)

Procharger D1 ( 16 and 20 lb pullies)

if i missed something just ask. I have about 12k in reciepts. the engine was built by BB&T racing here in Southaven MS. They have a good reputation and have been in many of the magazines.

no. it is definately a street car, but its a garage queen. it MAY see around 3k miles a year.

its a toy, but not an all out race car either. I like having street manners and upsetting new Z06 owners.

yeah the car is still on jack stands right now. I will get a few pics tomorrow of the engine bay and enterior.

the axles are out of the rear at the moment because I was checking to see if they were 31 splines like I was told. They arent, so I may as well go ahead and order a spool, or limited slip and some axles while I am doing all of this.

I really DONT want a spool for the street and thats why the ECTED diff caught my eye.

I am still debating.
