Maf Conversion Part List
Ok, I'm converting my '87 to maf from sd. I already have
A9L eec '94 Cobra 70mm meter What else is needed, and is there by chance a 'video how to' on this conversion? Only reason I'm converting is I'm getting ready to intall some prof ported gt40 irons w/ hi lift springs, explorer upper/ported lower, frpp x303 camshaft, 70mm TB, and 1.6 roller rockers... figured the larger cobra meter would be better than a stock one. I know the car will need to be tuned for best power, but will it run ok for a little bit til i can afford a tune. and what kind of numbers do you think it'd put down.

You need to get a MASS plug kit also. If you do some searching on Mustang MASS convertion you should be able to find a little more info on the install. It's pritty easy and straight forward.

so thats all I need? Now when i do this conversion, at the same time its being converted, it will also be getting ported/bigger valved gt40ps, Ported lower/upper explorer intake, 70mm TB, Ford Racing E303/TFS St. 1 camshaft along with LTs i already have. Am I gonna have problems? I was hoping to drive it like that until I have saved up enough for a Tweecer RT.

My RPM drops to normal idle instantly when going to N, the EEC should keep the idle a little higher until the car comes to a stop. My car has been stalling when going to N or when pushing in the clutch and I think not having the speed input attached might be a major cause of this. On an unrelated note, my fuel pressure was also a cause. At 43# base pressure, the car would stall all of the time when returning to idle unless I held the gas in and dropped the RPM slowly myself (a big pain in the ass). Once I put the pressure back to the stock setting of 39#, it returns to idle now most of the time without stalling and my hunting problem has gone away. I did not purposely put it at 43#, it drifted up to that setting.
