dont know the difference for you but rule of thumb is for every hundred pounds less is a .10 off you E.T.

The notch weighs 2,775lbs and the hatch weighs 2,834lbs.

Taken from here http://consumerguideauto.howstuffwor...-mustang-4.htm

If you go by the 100lbs = .1sec (which is actually pretty accurate). Stock for stock, the notch will be about .06sec faster in the 1/4.

Not really a big enough difference to turn down a great looking hatch. But if you are looking for every last possible hundreth of a second, the notch is the way to go

I'd love to see a hatch that weights 2834 lbs in stock trim!!

My 89 LX has the following removed:
Font bumper and support
All of the sound deadening and tar and insulation
AC (compressor, condensor, etc...)
Powersteering (rack and pump)
the dog bone on the rear end
the whole stereo system right down to the antenna
all the climate control including heater core, dash support, blower unit, knobs etc...
the windshield wipers, motor, wiring
The smog pump and all of the smog and emissions junk
The inner fender wells
The front sway bar and links
The rear seat support, spare tire, jack.
A lot of other random bits and pieces...

The car still weighs 2800 lbs!!!!

I think a more realistic number is 3200 lbs for a GT hatch, 3100 for an LX hatch, 3000 for a notch.

Yeah thas why I go with the clean look of the hatch instead of the notch just my personal opinion you wont even be able to tell stock for stock 1/4 mile differences or running them on the street it will go down to driver on the street.

When I get my the engine back in my hatch (busted oil pan) I will go weigh and post might be awhile just depends on how much spare time I have. Curious to what the car actually weighs myself. While I am on the subject anyone got a oil pan they want to get rid of? If so PM me. Not going to buy a new one until I do the rebuild. No sense in a 7qt oil pan on a stock GT
