Transmission

Thinking about swapping to an auto. for track purpose. What do you think about a C4 or C6 built by TCI. Or is there soneone else out there that builds them strong?

I WOULD GO WITH A C4. IT BOLTS RIGHT UP AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO CHANGE ANYTHING. IF YOU GO WITH A C6 YOU WILL HAVE TO CHANGE BELLHOUSEINGS AND STARTERS AND ALL THAT BULL SHIT THAT GOES WITH IT'.

+1 C4 is a good choice. If you swap would you want to sell the old 5 speed tranny? If so will it be out of the 98 or what year you working on?

dont you have to get a different crossmember for a t5 to c4?and if your carbed dont you need a TV cable? ...also go with a b&M or a PA (performance automatic) C4 they are really good

I am looking up the PA Transmissions and they are showing a "Valve body style", Full Manual, Automatic/Manual and Automatic. Also about the shift pattern, reverse for forward. What are the differences???
