if you are looking for max power, fuel economy is out the window whether its a carb or FI.

other than that, I think its personal preference really. there are some kick ass carbs out there that will give you throttle response that rivals fuel injection.

ITS EASIER TO DO CARB MODS. HOWEVER FUEL INJECTION HAS BETTER TUNING WAYS TO MAKE MORE POWER.

And no need to worry about running problem with elevation changes or anything with fuel injection

Alot of people are stuck on carbs. Alot of people think they are experts and think carburetion makes more horsepower. People who are experts in this field will tell you just the opposite.

i have an 89 GT i had to trick flow street heat kit w/k&n filter and all the good stuff. had it tuned with an svt chip and dynoed. engine aways surged and would miss. my bro has a 94 with the same stuff. and had it tuned at three different place in florida (well know here). still has the same problem. so it went to carb and it runs strong and no surge. so my experence its not as great as most of the guys on this form but, i like the carb better so far and it cheapper so far.

For fuel economy, injection wins.

It's cheaper and easier to do a carb setup for high horsepower applications.

Both are just fuel delivery systems, so to say one can produce more power or can be more drivable than the other is kind of silly. Carb intakes compared to traditional EFI intakes do tend to be freer breathing with shorter and larger intake runners.

Darrell, I was just curious how your EFI setup is coming along...
