Building a 347 Soon..Questions...So Starting Early
well my 18th b-day's soon and my parents are giving me my dads spare dart 302 block (dad went with big block)..well i'd love to build a 347 stroker..and i've found the Scat 347 bottom end from summit for like $800...Then trickflow top end kit..And i found on craigslist a list for tons of mustang 5.0 HIGH performance parts...well i called the guy and he said that 347's are piece of sh*t motors, bad bore to stroke ratio
..they leak, throw pistons, break rods, bad clearence all kinda shit..but kinda didnt take him serious when he said that trick flow 2.02 TW heads suck..but he had some that we bored .30over ..then told me i dont know anything, how many motor's have i built, he said he's been at it for 15yrs and built over 600 engines..bad ones i guess, a 440hp fox in the low 12's.. ..well any ideas? he said dont even do it...best engine is the stock 302..that he had a friend w/ stock engine w/ edelbrock performer rpm 1.90's ran mid 12's...but his 306 blueprinted block w/ 440hp ran low 12's...this guys was an idiot..any ideas/ info on a 347 build.
