No H-Pipe Hanger

Last weekend when I changed out the mid pipe, I noticed the hanger for the mid pipe was missing. Currently the mid pipe is held by the headers and the mufflers. How bad is it not using the hanger? I have found the bracket at LRS for $42:

I was hoping to find it cheaper. I found one on ebay but it looks different:

I just did full exhaust on my car. I thought something must have been missing since my H pipe had hangers on it, but there was no bracket on my car.

I am assuming that bracket bolts to the transmission?

I need to get one as well.

Yes, it bolts between the transmission and the transmission mount.

Mine is held by the headers and cat-back, no hangers. That was why I am asking. Thanks.

Its not that big of a deal, it just keeps your H-pipe from falling to the ground.

And I mean if it did fall while you were moving, the worst thing that would happen is it would rip the rest of your exhaust off and maybe put a few large holes in your floor board and potentially cause an accident for the person behind you....yep....no bid deal...

I know it is unlikely to fall, but consider that really the front is only hanging by the headers and those ball and socket joints have been known to come apart while the nuts are still in place. This happened to me once when I was changing the H-pipe, the whole thing fell off leaving the brackets and nuts still attached to the headers!

The one from late model looks like the correct part.
