Is MAF worth it?

I have a 93 LX with a 5.0 out of an 88 T'bird. I am considering putting a set of 351 heads on it, and I was wondering if they would be a direct bolt on or if some modification was required. Another thing. the engine runs on the speed density system and I was wondering if there was an alternative to converting it over to MAF.

MAF will make a difference but only if you plan on doing heads intake and cam like swaps you could problly put those 351 heads on with no problems you shouldnt have to swap to MAF

if you put more air through the motor the s/d computer cannot adjust the fuel to make up for the air increase it has no way of measuring, thats what the maf does. it tells the computer how much air its taking in and in turn the computer will adjust the a/f ratio.i would suggest doing the mass air swap before any other mods.
