Top Speed?
What would the top speed be on my virtually stock 87 stang lx 5.0 AOD? (CAI, MAF conversion, MAC longtubes, MAC h pipe, spintech side exit cat back exhaust an possibly u/d pulleys are mods for future) an what could i do to improve this? cuz a buddy of mine said to take off the "governor" an i have absolutely no idea as to what or where that is.

dats what i said. then he was all like "DUDE, every car in the world has a governor, otherwise people could go as fast as they wanted!" thats when i jus said "F@$K YOU, are you high?"

Well as far as your top speed goes it pretty much just matters how big of a down hill spot you can find......as for stock rating i have seen it to be about 142 mph rated by car and driver i think (dont quote me on that)...but goin back to the down hill thang...a couple nights ago i found a spot on the interstate that had a long downhill slope and i have a 90' gt that is almost bone stock( it has a k&n air filter and flowmaster mufflers and the guy i bought it from said it had a lite cam of some kind)...anyway i hit around 150 in fourth and it was pretty well wrapped out in 4th gear and then i shut it down.... so really its just anyones guess with the modds that you have with you being on flat ground or watever
