Turbo 5.0 running pig rich

Alright, so I finally made the time get my car started after over a year of sitting .. figuring out some wire was ripped out of the fuel pump relay under the seat..as it would still click without it. It had me stumped forever. Its always gotta be something stupid..(including myself sometimes ha) Anyway, onto the topic..Stock motor with 160k miles..the fuel pressure is set at 42 psi on the regulator, stock ecu and ignition, removed smog pump..The timing is where it needs to be. I havent driven the car yet..I put brand new o2 sensors, plugs and wires..using a blow-thru setup with the 80mm maf calibrated for 42lb injectors..the car starts right away.. my eyes start to burn within seconds..it'll do ok sitting there idling..but when i try and give it some gas..half the time it'll choke up and die..or it'll buck a little and rev..breaking up and dying as i let off the gas . I checked the IAC it was a bit dirty..cleaned it..reinstalled it..nothing changed..with that being said..i had a friend in mind who lives in the neighborhood with an SCT chip he used for his old setup..tuned for 42lb injectors, on a stock 302, 10 psi on an s-trim..same year car..so i said heck..why not? maybe it would do SOMETHING at least even though i dont have an s-trim..so i lightly sanded off the film on the ecu to where the chip plugs in...before installing it..installed the chip..let it idle for a good 5-10 mins to give time for the ecu to maybe "learn" the chip..nothing changed really but it idling at 900 instead of 1500 like it was before..i am running downpipe out however.. the o2 sensors are 6 in+ before the exhaust exit..figure it might be back pressure to do something with it? The guy who lent me the chip said if it didnt work on my car..to try and rotate the mass air meter a bit? depending on where how you rotate the maf..determines how rich and lean it'll run? Never heard of that before but he says he read it in a magazine. I'm stumped.. I figured it would be somewhat driveable like others with simliar setups..until its tuning time. ahh

most likely you will need a custom tune for your setup.as for the O2s they should be closer to the turbo exit like 6 inches from the turbo on the downpipe.as for the clocking the meter you can adjust it that way to a point, depending on how the air flows through the meter determines how rich or lean it runs

Yes, clocking the MAF will help. Also, do you have your pressure regulator boost indexed? Are you adjusting it with the vacuum line off of the regulator (you should be!)? 42 PSI is a lot for 42 lb injectors, remember you aren't making any boost at idle. I would start by turning your fuel pressure way down, like to 30 PSI, you are probably at the smallest pulse width the computer can handle and still getting too much fuel with 42 lbers.

Also, your O2 sensors should be right next to the turbo on the down pipe! That should give you a place to start.

Maybe join the forums at turbomustangs.com ??

it could be anything (dirty MAF, temp sens, bad o2, vaccuum leak etc..).
I had similar issues with stalling and not being able to idle with some hunting. I lowered my FP down to the mid 30's and the bad idle problem has almost disappeared. I'm not saying that is or was my only problem but it helped out a lot. I have 30# injectors. I have an adjustable FMU so I still get the fuel pressure I need under boost.
