1965 T 10 H-7B Transmission in a 79 fox?

I just picked up myself a 1979 stang! It was an orginal pace car too, still has the Indianapoilis 500 emblem on the glove box!! Pics comming soon!!! Unfourtunetly it's an original automatic...

Anyway I know the early f/b's had 4 speeds, I'll admit I don't know too much about ford's tranny history, the models and such..... I know the toploaders could handle a lot of power because they used those on the big blocks. My 351w will be putting out around 400 ft lbs so I'm nervous about using a stock T-5......

I saw this old 4 speed for sale and I was wondering if that was what they used on these early fox's or what??

On a side note, anybody who can give me advice or info about making this car into a standard your advice is very welcome!!!!

Thanks guys! -Devin
